Let's share our 90th minute loss stories here

Another 90th minute loss for me today as I had Nantes -0.5 over Gueugnon in the French Ligue 2. Nantes lead 1-0 for most of the match until the 90th minute when Gueugnon scores making the final 1-1. Last week I had a couple similar fates on my bets.

On a related note, I did have one match go over 2 1/2 on a 90th minute goal so on occasion these do turn in our favor. It does seem that there are wildly more losses than wins in the 90th minute though.

I hear ya,feel ya..and been there ,guess it hits everyone one way or another at some point.
If you can get an account in BF that would be the best.then you can avoid the injury/extra time
as most plays go in real time live play there you can always lay your bet if winning prior to the last
few minutes,might win little less but cut on your grief pain and treat your pocket a little better too..:lol:

What is it about these teams? Is it the desperation of the loss so they go all out in the final minute+?

There are sevral reasons that more goals are scored in the '90th minute' than any other time....

a) any goals scored in injury time are listed as a 90th minute goal so really you could have a four or five minute period in which all goals scored in that time frame will be listed as a 90th minute goal.

b) fatigue is a factor, typically defenders are a lot more sharp and are less prone to mistakes earlier in the game

c) In most sitautions one of the two teams in trailing or not satisfied with a draw at the end of the game and therefore will press more people forward resulting in a goal due to the added pressure in the opponents box or converesly leading to a break away goal at the other end because they left themselves exposed at the back with aggressive attacking.
